WWF Training (Windows Work flow):  in order to describe various application WWF will come in to existence. The Windows Work Flow is all about building application on windows in an easier way. WWF is the programming model for windows, which has quickly made workflow applications on Windows. WWF is now available for server & client versions in windows. Windows Workflow Foundation supports system & Human workflow in business, User interfaces (UI) and service applications.  It just because it’s providing a better choice for the developers to build an application on windows which in turns look just simple. The Windows work Flow allows you to explicit the model in control flow of an application.   Rather than embedding your application logic in the code.  As a result you can inspect the application logic, while it’ getting executed, and even change the logic at the runtime.

Workflow foundation is a new framework that came with .net 3.0. Microsoft released major frameworks in this release like Windows Presentation Foundation (New framework for writing windows application), Windows Communication Foundation (Very advanced framework for writing web services to make communication between systems in the internet, intranet.)

Windows Workflow Foundation is the programming model, engine and tools for quickly building workflow enabled applications on Windows. It consists of a Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.0 namespace, an in-process workflow engine, and designers for Visual Studio. Windows Workflow Foundation is available for both client and server versions of Windows. Windows Workflow Foundation includes support for both system workflow and human workflow across a wide range of scenarios including: workflow within line of business applications, user interface page-flow, document-centric workflow, human workflow, composite workflow for service oriented applications, business rule driven workflow and workflow for systems management.

Why Windows Workflow Foundation? 

Windows Workflow Foundation is about making it easier for developers to build applications on Windows.  That’s it.  That’s the simple but beautiful benefit of Windows Workflow Foundation.  Granted there are a lot of features that WWF provides to your applications, but they are all features that you could implement yourself.  In fact many of the developers I talk to already have developed their own workflow frameworks.  In the end, the core benefit is developer productivity. 

Advantages Windows Workflow Foundation

• Persistence: If you’re going to have many long running processes (think days, weeks, months), then Workflows are great for this. Idle workflow instances are persisted to the database so it doesn’t use up memory.
• Tracking: WF provides the mechanism to track each activity executed in a workflow
• *Visual Designer: I put this as a *, because I think this is really only useful for marketing purposes. As a developer, I prefer to write code rather than snapping things together visually. And when you have a non-developer making workflows, you often end up with a huge confusing mess.

Prerequisites for WWF:

This course assumes that delegates have a strong programming background and good knowledge of C# or Visual Basic. They should also be familiar with building console and Windows applications with Visual Studio.This course is designed for developers that are looking to use Windows Workflow Foundation to build workflow enabled applications.
